Zuckerberg co founded the social-networking website Facebook out of his college dorm room. He left Harvard after his sophomore year to concentrates on the site, the user base of which has grown to more than 250 million people, make Zuckerberg a billionaire. The birth of Facebook was recently portrayed in the film The Social Network. Zuckerberg developed associate interest in computers at associate early age once he was concerning twelve, he used Atari BASIC to form an electronic communication program he named Zucknet. In conjunction with his friends, he additionally created pc games only for fun. However Zuckerberg remained fascinated by computers, and continued to figure on developing new programs. Whereas still in high school, he created early version of the music software system Pandora, that he known as conjunction. Many corporations together with AOL associated Microsoft expressed an interest in buying for the software system, He declined the offers.
Zuckerberg and his friends created a website that allowed users to form their own profiles, transfer photos and communicate with different users. The cluster ran the positioning 1st known as The Facebook out of a dormitory at Harvard till June 2004. By the top of 2004, Facebook had one million users.
In 2005, Zuckerberg enterprise received a large boost from the capital firm Accel Partners. Accel invested with $12.7 million into the network that at the time was open solely to league students. Zuckerberg Company then grants access to different schools, highschool and international faculties, pushing the site's membership to quite five.5 million users by Dec 2005.
